Sustainable instruments made of local wood from timberland.
As an engineer for landscape and environmental protection it is one task for me to establish local woods for building instruments such as drums like djembes and dunduns. Seeing permanent deforestation of primary forest or single trees for example in West Africa and quasi missing reforestation, ongoing aridity and rising temperatures it is increasing desertification and other environmental problems. You are able to do active something for the environmental protection. For instance if you think to buy a djembe, choose one wich is made of local wood wich is grown and treated local (carbon footprint).
